The MatchDraft app
Your data stays with you
Everything you create in MatchDraft (players, skill ratings, positions, profile photos, matchdays and results) is stored on your device. The provider never receives it.
No accounts, no servers
MatchDraft requires no user account and does not communicate with any server operated by the provider.
No tracking, no ads
The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising components.
iCloud backup
If you are signed in to iCloud, the app backs up your data to your own iCloud (a private app container). This way it survives switching devices or reinstalling the app. Only your Apple Account can access this copy; the provider cannot see it. You can turn the backup off in the app under Settings, Data, iCloud backup. Copies already saved stay in your iCloud until you delete them in the iOS Settings (Apple Account, iCloud). Your data is also part of your regular device backup handled by iOS. Apple's privacy terms apply to iCloud.
Camera and photos
The app uses the camera and photo library only when you assign a profile photo to a player or save a shared image to your Photos. Profile photos are stored on your device and, if turned on, in the iCloud backup.
Sharing and export
Sharing a lineup or the records as an image, or exporting players and matchdays as a file, happens only when you initiate it via the iOS share sheet. Shared images never show skill ratings. Export files contain names, positions, skill ratings and profile photos, because they are meant for moving to another device. You decide who receives them.
Data about other people
In MatchDraft you record data about your teammates, such as names, photos and skill ratings. Make sure they agree; for children, that means their parents or guardians. Skill ratings are meant for you as the organiser only.
Purchases
MatchDraft Pro is handled through Apple's in-app purchase. The purchase runs entirely at Apple; the provider receives no personal data from you.
Ratings
After a few saved matchdays, the app invites you to rate it. If you tap "Rate on the App Store", the App Store opens; the rating is handled entirely by Apple.
Feedback by email
Via "Feedback & Support" you can email the provider. The draft contains technical details (app version, iOS version, device model, language) that help with answering. You see them before sending and can delete them. The provider uses your email and address only to reply to you.
Website hosting (server logs)
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address and time of access) to deliver and protect the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses are in place. More information: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It only remembers your language choice (German or English) in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entry "md_lang"). This setting never leaves your browser.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The provider stores no data from the app and no data about visitors to this website, except emails you send yourself. You control all app data and can delete it in the app at any time, or remove it entirely by deleting the app. If you have questions, contact us at the email address above.
